Prices for kefir and milk increased in May: analysts compared costs in popular supermarkets.


Dairy Product Prices in Ukraine
Most Ukrainians choose dairy products as an important part of their diet. The prices of these products always matter greatly as they affect the family budget.
The magazine 'Wave' conducted a study of prices for kefir and milk in the networks Novus, Metro, Auchan, and Megamarket compared to April 2025. Special attention was paid to 'Selyansky' kefir and 'Prostonashe' and 'Yagotynske' milk.
According to the Minfin portal, the price of 'Selyansky' kefir 2.5% is 61.49 UAH, which is 1.16 UAH higher than in April.
According to the study results, Auchan offers the lowest price for kefir - 53.90 UAH, while in Novus the price is 69.99 UAH. Metro and Megamarket sold it for 56.06 UAH and 66.00 UAH, respectively.
The price of 'Prostonashe' milk 1% also increased from 49.75 UAH in April to 53.56 UAH now. In Metro it costs 49.82 UAH, and in Megamarket - 57.30 UAH.
The price of 'Yagotynske' milk 2.6% increased from 52.91 UAH in April to 57.35 UAH now.
Auchan also set the lowest price for this milk - 52.90 UAH, while Megamarket has the highest - 64.50 UAH. In Novus and Metro, prices are 56.99 UAH and 55.02 UAH respectively.
Comparing the data, one can conclude that the prices for dairy products have risen in recent months, which may affect buyers and the level of inflation in the country.
