Vegetable prices have once again upset Ukrainians: how much do tomatoes and cucumbers cost in April.

According to the data from the Minfin portal, vegetable prices in Ukraine changed in April.
With the arrival of spring, fresh vegetables start appearing on store shelves, packed with vitamins and something people eagerly seek after a long winter. However, despite this, the prices for tomatoes and cucumbers remain high.
Analysis shows that red tomatoes cost an average of 120.98 UAH per kilogram, which is 6.5% more expensive than in March. Pink tomatoes average 189.70 UAH per kilogram, which is 1.1% higher than in March.
Cucumber prices are also disappointing. Smooth cucumbers have increased by 2.4%, reaching an average price of 137.47 UAH per kilogram, while short-fruited cucumbers have risen by 10.8% to 140.90 UAH per kilogram.
The price of the 'Estafeta' cucumber variety has hardly changed, remaining at around 215 UAH per kilogram. Spiky cucumbers turned out to be the most expensive among all types, costing 202.50 UAH per kilogram.
Thus, vegetable prices in Ukraine continue to rise, which may affect the cost of food products for citizens.
