JD Vance spoke about his last meeting with the Pope.


The last international official to meet with Pope Francis before his death was U.S. Vice President JD Vance. He shared memories of their conversation, admitting that it was quite unusual. Vance did not know how much Time the Pope had left on earth.
During his visit to the Vatican, Vance shook hands with Pope Francis and told him that he prays for him every day. The vice president was aware of the Pope's health condition, but did not understand its true gravity.
Pope Francis died at the age of 89. In the morning of April 21, he passed away from a stroke and heart failure. Francis suffered from various ailments, including bilateral pneumonia.
After learning about the death of Pope Francis, JD Vance expressed condolences to the millions of Christians around the world who loved him.
The funeral of Pope Francis will take place on Saturday, April 26. The Holy Mass will be led by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, Dean of the College of Cardinals.
