Google, Microsoft and more: MFA reported on strengthening IT sanctions against Russia.

On September 12, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced the exit of leading IT companies and services from the Russian market or the introduction of new restrictions for the Russian Federation.According to the MFA, Google blocked the ability to register new accounts with Russian phone numbers and deprived Russian bloggers of the ability to earn income through the AdSense platform.Companies Atlassian, Jira, Trello, and Confluence announced a complete cessation of activities in the Russian market. The Notion service became unavailable to users in the Russian Federation, which was widely used for organizing work and project management.In addition, the Miro service refused to serve Russian and Belarusian accounts, and Microsoft began the process of disconnecting Russian users from its cloud services.Slack also announced its exit from the Russian market and cessation of service. CAD systems and Autodesk left Russia, and giants like SAP and Oracle exited the country's ERP systems market.The MFA of Ukraine noted that these steps were the result of prolonged efforts. In November 2022, the Yermak-McFaul Sanctions Group first proposed the introduction of IT sanctions against the Russian Federation. After lengthy consultations, the Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to its partners for their decisive actions.
