State registration of vehicles imported as humanitarian aid for servicemen
The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to introduce state registration of vehicles imported as humanitarian aid for the military. People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko reported this.
According to the Cabinet's decision, the following rules will apply:
- submission of an application to the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with the act of acceptance-transfer of the car (which is humanitarian aid), a declaration of the goods defined as humanitarian aid, and the necessary documents of the serviceman
- obtaining a temporary technical certificate
- re-registration of such vehicles for servicemen in the acceptance-transfer act
- transfer of vehicles recognized as humanitarian aid to military units after the end of martial law.
Recall that the police detained two girls aged 15 and 16 for setting fire to a car purchased by volunteers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was found that the minors were controlled by a person referred to as a "curator," who promised them a monetary reward for this crime. They face up to 8 years in prison for setting fire to the car.
According to the information, Russian arsonists receive a reward of about 80 thousand hryvnias for setting fire to one vehicle in Ukraine, which is approximately 2000 dollars. However, the executor receives only about half of this amount, as intermediaries take the rest. If the executor is a minor, their earnings decrease even more.
In addition, Russian curators who hire arsonists to set fire to vehicles in Ukraine are giving them a new task - to damage energy facilities. This is reported in a publication by "Glavcom" entitled "Who is burning military vehicles? Hiring technologies, psychological techniques, and rewards."
