Canadians call for Musk to be stripped of citizenship.

More than 150,000 Canadian citizens have expressed their stance through a parliamentary petition demanding that Elon Musk be stripped of his Canadian citizenship due to his collaboration with Donald Trump. Trump threatened to occupy Canada and turn it into a U.S. state during his second presidential term.
The idea of creating the petition has been supported by writer Kwolia Reed from British Columbia and parliamentarian Charlie Angus, who is known for his critical remarks about Musk.
Elon Musk was born in South Africa, but thanks to his mother's Canadian citizenship, he also obtained Canadian citizenship. Musk is campaigning to reduce the federal government in the U.S. at the request of the president, who has expressed doubts about Canada's sovereignty since returning to the White House.
The petition, submitted on February 20, accuses Musk of actions that contradict Canada's national interests due to his collaboration with Trump.
Trump's threats of imposing high tariffs on Canadian goods and annexing Canada have earned the disdain of 40 million Canadians. This occurred shortly before the victory of the Canadian hockey team over the American team in the tournament final.
The petition states that Musk's collaboration with Trump makes him 'a member of a foreign government attempting to undermine Canadian sovereignty'. The authors of the petition are appealing to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, demanding that Musk be stripped of his Canadian citizenship.
In order to receive an official response from the government, the petition must gather at least 500 signatures. Reed's petition has already collected about 167,000 signatures, allowing it to undergo the necessary certification for consideration in the House of Commons of Canada.
