The air temperature on Mount Pip Ivan in the Carpathians reached -18°C, reported the State Emergency Service of Ivano-Frankivsk region. Moreover, there is a strong northwestern wind (7 m/s), dense fog, and snow. Due to such extreme weather conditions, rescuers urge Ukrainians to refrain from hikes until the weather improves. Thus, being in the mountains is considered a serious danger.
In addition, in April, snow fell in some regions of Ukraine, such as Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Khmelnytskyi.
Unfortunately, the weather will not show any signs of calm in the near future. Forecasts indicate frost in the air and on the surface, as well as icy conditions on the roads. Drivers and pedestrians should be especially careful while moving.
