Vaping Harms the Brain: Research Findings.

New research by scientists has shown that vaping has a negative impact on students' brains, reducing their cognitive functions. The researchers reported this at the American Neurological Association conference. Students who vape showed poorer results in tests on learning, memory, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Those who took more than 20 puffs a day had even lower scores by 14%.
Previous studies have already shown that smoking negatively affects brain function, reducing its volume and blood flow to it. Vaping also has a neurotoxic effect, damaging brain cells. The researchers believe that vaping may be even more dangerous, especially for those who previously smoked conventional cigarettes.
The study was conducted on over 400 college students in Ecuador. The results showed that those who smoked or vaped had lower cognitive scores than those who did not smoke or vape. However, the authors of the study note that more research is needed to definitively confirm these results.
