Medical Safety: Ukraine, Poland and EMA Discuss Supply of Critical Medicines.

Ukraine's Participation in the Meeting of Heads of Medicines Agencies in Warsaw
From May 5 to May 7, the 120th meeting of the Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA) is taking place in Warsaw, chaired by Poland in the EU Council, where Ukraine is participating as an invited country.
The goal of the event is to unite EU regulators to discuss common challenges in the healthcare sector and strengthen the resilience of the regulatory environment in the pharmaceutical industry. The Ukrainian delegation held a meeting with representatives from Poland and the European Medicines Agency.
At the center of the discussion is Ukraine's potential in addressing the EU challenges: the vulnerabilities of the supply chains of critical medicines.
It was noted that Ukraine can become a reliable partner in strengthening the pharmaceutical safety of Europe, as it has all the prerequisites for this, including the ability to provide a complete production cycle from manufacturing ingredients to releasing finished products that meet GMP standards.
For full integration into the European regulatory system, Ukraine needs to strengthen its institutional capacity, and in this process, the Polish side is already demonstrating deep engagement and a willingness to share experience.
Analysis
Ukraine's participation in such international events demonstrates the country's desire to deepen cooperation with European partners in the field of healthcare and pharmaceuticals. The meeting of the Heads of Medicines Agencies is an important step on Ukraine's path to integrating into the regulation of the EU pharmaceutical market, which will contribute to improving the quality and safety of medical products in the domestic market.
