South Korea's Foreign Ministry demands Russia withdraw North Korean troops.


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea summoned Russian Ambassador Georgy Zinoviev due to the deployment of North Korean troops to Russia for possible deployment in Ukraine, Yonhap agency reports.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Hong-Kyun urged the withdrawal of North Korean soldiers from Russia's territory, as it threatens South Korea's security and violates UN Security Council resolutions. He stated that South Korea is ready to respond to any actions that threaten its interests.
Russian Ambassador Georgy Zinoviev responded that cooperation between Russia and North Korea complies with international law and does not threaten South Korea's security.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, about 11,000 North Korean soldiers are preparing to participate in the war against Ukraine in Russia. The training is being conducted in various Russian cities.
Recall that the UN Security Council is going to discuss North Korea's participation in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
