The Russian Federation attacked energy facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region
During a missile attack by the Russian Federation on energy facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region, one man was killed. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Serhiy Lysak.
Let us remind you that Russian troops have attacked Ukrainian energy facilities again. Due to the massive missile strikes on Ukraine, Ukrenergo was forced to disconnect electricity supply in emergency mode.
According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Russian troops launched over 70 missiles at Ukraine. In particular, significant damage was inflicted on DTEK thermal power plants. As a result of this attack, energy equipment was seriously damaged.
'Every Russian mass strike requires planning. It is not purely a spontaneous decision. It is a deliberate choice not only regarding targets but also the timing and date. Today, Putin consciously chose Christmas for the attack. What could be more unfair? Over 70 missiles, including ballistic ones, and over a hundred strike drones. They continue their fight for the black panther in Ukraine,' he stated.
According to Zelensky, preliminary data shows that Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down over 50 missiles and many drones.
It was reported that due to enemy shelling, one of the two power lines connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP with the unified energy system of Ukraine was disconnected.
Currently, it has become known that on December 23, emergency power outages were applied in several regions of Ukraine. The reason for introducing restrictions was the need for immediate replacement of equipment damaged due to shelling and loss of certain production capacities.
Protection of energy infrastructure
It is worth noting that Ukraine needs another 19 air defense systems to protect its energy infrastructure from Russian bombardments.
