A terrible event occurred at a lyceum in Poltava region - a 13-year-old student died during physical education class. This was reported by the Poltava regional prosecutor's office. The tragedy happened on May 5 at one of the lyceums in Pyriatyn.

During the physical activities, the student lost consciousness. Medics arrived at the scene promptly and tried to save the teenager, but they were unsuccessful.

The prosecutor's office noted that the boy's family is not registered with social services.

This is not the first case of such a tragic event. Earlier, on March 9, 2024, a 10th-grade student who suddenly died during physical education class was farewelled in Uzhhorod. The police are investigating the circumstances to determine the cause of the boy's death.

These events highlight serious problems in educational institutions. All efforts must be made to ensure the safety of students during their studies and to consider possible causes of such tragedies to prevent them in the future.
