Occupants stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using mats to protect themselves from drones.

Ukrainian soldier Herman Prokopiv told in an interview with journalist Yuriy Butusov that the occupying forces stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using mats as camouflage from Ukrainian drones. Prokopiv recounted how he was brought to Komyshuvakha (Zaporizhia region), where he was given a weapon and ordered to secure unfamiliar positions. He noted that the mats were rolled into rings and stitched together to create makeshift camouflage. Additionally, this helped reduce the thermal signature. The occupant also shared that walking in mats was uncomfortable and difficult to use weapons. He was sent into the assault with just a regular backpack, which contained water, canned food, and ammunition.
It should be noted that the Security Service of Ukraine has reported suspicion against Herman Prokopiv, who hung a Russian flag over the Luhansk Regional State Administration in 2014 and is currently in captivity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
