The occupation army has completed the concentration of troops near Pokrovsk
According to the information from the Ukrainian army general Mykola Malomuzh, the Russian occupation army has completed the concentration of main troops near Pokrovsk. Through operations in Selydove, Toretsk, and on the Kurakhiv direction, they are preparing to strike at logistic routes vital for the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Malomuzh, Ukrainian defense forces were forced to retreat from most areas of Selydove, while the Russians are trying to expand the breakthrough front from the flanks.
The situation is most complicated in the Kurakhiv direction, where the enemy is trying to create a wider breakthrough front. Ukrainian defense forces have established strong points and fortified areas, and are conducting counter-fire actions and counterattacks in certain sectors. However, to protect Pokrovsk, it is important to pull up reserves, as the Russians continue trying to break through. In general, approximately 180-200 thousand enemy troops are concentrated in this sector, posing a threat to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Malomuzh emphasized.
He noted that counterattacks are being prepared, so the situation may change even in these sectors. Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted counterattacks and regained positions in Toretsk. Meanwhile, for the Russians, advancing on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions remains a priority.
