Ukraine is not planning to attack the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow
High-ranking officials from Ukraine's defense ministry assured that there are no plans to attack the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, despite recent drone attacks on the Russian capital and rising tensions. In particular, Ukrainian officials fear provocations and retaliation from Russia if such an attack were to occur.
Opportunities and risks for Ukraine
One high-ranking official from the Ukrainian armed forces believes that any attempt to attack Moscow could end in failure due to the presence of Russia's air defense systems protecting the capital. Other defense officials warn of the potential risk of retaliation and the anger of allies, including Washington, in the event of an attack on Russia's historical sites.
