Eurovision winner spoke out against Israel's participation in next year's competition.

Austria's singer JJ proposed a Eurovision without Israel
Austrian singer JJ (real name Johannes Pich) expressed hope that next year's Eurovision Song Contest would take place without Israel. He emphasized the need for more transparency in voting and stated that last year's contest was very strange.
“It is very sad to see that Israel is still participating in the contest. I would like next year's Eurovision to take place in Vienna without Israel. But the ball is in the court of the European Broadcasting Union. We, the artists, can only speak out on this issue.”
JJ also spoke out against Israel's representative participating in future Eurovision performances. The Spanish broadcaster Rtve also supported this idea, noting that last year Ukraine and Israel received high scores due to military conflicts, distorting the cultural essence of the contest.
After performing in the grand final of Eurovision-2025, JJ emphasized that he combined modern sound with operatic parts in his song 'Wasted Love.' He thanked Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko, who inspired him. However, this moment did not make it to the live broadcast, but was captured by Ukrainian commentators Timur Miroshnychenko and Alyona Alyona.
Analysis
JJ's proposal to hold Eurovision without Israel raises discussions about voting transparency and the impact of politics on the contest results. Such statements testify to the importance of objectivity and cultural values in conducting international music events.
