North Korea strengthens Russia with long-range weapons - Financial Times.

Intelligence reports that North Korea has delivered 50 self-propelled artillery systems (SPAS) and 20 modernized multiple launch rocket systems to Russia. Among them are the 170 mm SPAS M-1989 Koksan and rocket launch systems similar to the Soviet 'Uragan'.

North Korea claims to have modernized these systems and equipped them with 'precision' missiles that can fire in both conventional and guided modes. Pyongyang plans to test this weapon in real combat.

Russia, taking notice, has consolidated its forces in the Kursk region, where North Korean soldiers have also been deployed. This indicates the Russians' readiness for a future counter-offensive to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of Russian territory.

Recent assessments of the size of the Russian military grouping in the Kursk region indicate that the Russian army is actively gathering forces for future combat operations. Russian President Vladimir Putin is attempting to eliminate the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region by January 20, ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration as President of the United States.

It is also worth noting that due to operations in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully captured many occupiers and seized Russian equipment from Ukrainian territory.
