The political analyst explained that there are two types of risks that arise in the context of the election campaign: domestic political pause and risks associated with legal proceedings. In case of a small difference in votes, there may be disputes with individual states, which could delay the determination of the election results.

The political analyst also stressed that the topic of risks around the elections and their results is of interest to some countries, particularly Russia, which is interested not in the victory of a specific candidate, but in undermining the authority of democracy. Some Russian politicians, including Medvedev, express confidence that there is a risk of civil war in the USA.
