Poland asks for a nuclear shield from the USA in response to the threat from Russia.

The President of Poland called on the USA to deploy nuclear weapons in Poland as a means of deterring Russian aggression.
The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, has asked the United States of America to place nuclear weapons in Poland to stop potential Russian aggression. He suggested relocating nuclear warheads that are already in Western Europe or the USA to Poland. Duda discussed his proposal with Keith Kellogg, the special envoy of the USA to Ukraine.
'NATO's borders moved eastward in 1999, so after 26 years, NATO infrastructure should also be relocated. This is obvious to me,' Duda noted. 'I think the Time has come, and it would be safer if this weapon were already here.'
President Duda hopes that the nuclear cooperation project he previously proposed will be revived. He reminded that during the Cold War, Poland hosted Soviet nuclear warheads, but now the placement of nuclear weapons near Russian borders, albeit under US control, would be perceived by the Kremlin as a serious threat.
President Duda emphasized that the decision to place US nuclear weapons should be made by President Trump. He also mentioned that Russia has already placed tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, a Moscow ally, which poses a threat to Ukraine.
'Russia didn't even ask for permission when it placed its nuclear weapons in Belarus,' Duda said.
This call from President Duda underscores the growing concern in Poland and other countries in the region regarding the increasing role of Russia through peace negotiations with Ukraine mediated by President Trump.
