Tragedy in Sumy: Trolleybus Driver and Most Passengers Dead
Today, April 13, during a rocket strike on Sumy, a tragedy occurred: the trolleybus driver and most of his passengers were killed. According to the Sumy municipal enterprise 'Electrotrans', this was reported by 'Glavkom'.
According to reports, the last trip today was made by driver Mykola Leon, an employee of 'Electrotrans'. He died along with most passengers during another enemy attack on Sumy. The double strike left no chances for innocent people who were out on their business on this sunny holiday.
Horrific Bleak Statistics
As of the evening of April 13, 34 people have died from the Russian shelling of Sumy, two of whom are children. Another 117 people were injured.
Renowned Musician and Teacher Passed Away
Among the dead was Olena Kohut, a teacher at the Sumy College of Arts and Culture named after Bortnyansky, a solo instrumentalist, concertmaster of the Sumy regional philharmonic, and an artist of the Sumy National Academic Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy named after Shevchenko.
Hope for Survival and a Symbol in One Photo
Rescuers involved in clearing the rubble after the rocket attack in Sumy showed a photo of the blue-yellow flag that survived in one of the destroyed houses.
