Russian troops retreat from the outskirts of Pokrovsk.

Russian troops are gradually retreating from the western outskirts of Pokrovsk after an unsuccessful attempt to cut off the road from the Dnipropetrovsk region. Hostilities in the Pokrovsk area remain active, but the intensity of the fighting has decreased. However, this does not mean a ceasefire, but merely a temporary easing. Russian occupiers are also conducting rotations in the Kupiansk and Kharkiv directions and are trying to provoke Ukrainian forces into visual violations of fire. Over the past few weeks, Ukrainian forces have liberated significant territory in the areas of Udaychne, Kotlyne, and Shevchenko in Donetsk region.
Experts from the Institute for the Study of War believe that Russia's tactics in the war against Ukraine will lead to the depletion of resources for the Russian Federation and slow down its advance along the front line. In order to improve military operations, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has established 10 military administrations in the occupied part of Donetsk region.
