Ukrainian tennis player Svitolina reached the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Italy
Elina Svitolina won her match and advanced to the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Italy. In the second set, she managed to secure a victory, despite constantly facing health issues. In the decisive set, the Ukrainian faced five match points on her serve, but she managed to win the next game and come out with a victory.
This is already the second consecutive year that Svitolina has reached the fourth round of the tournament in Rome. Her next opponent will be Danielle Collins, who previously defeated Iga Swiatek. This will be the fourth encounter between Collins and Svitolina, with Elina winning the previous match in Miami.
It’s also worth noting that Russian tennis player Polina Kudermetova posted a photograph of the St. George ribbon on social media, which is a symbol of aggression against Ukraine.
