Terrorist Attack Near Karachi Airport in Pakistan: Casualties and Injured.


About two weeks before a regional summit planned in the capital, Islamabad, a blast occurred near the international airport in the Pakistani city of Karachi, resulting in the death of one person and injury of 10 others. According to AP International, an attack on Chinese nationals in the country took the lives of two workers from China and injured at least eight people. Social media is abuzz with video footage showing large plumes of smoke on Model Colony Road.
According to a report by the Pakistani newspaper Dawn News, the incident did not affect the flight schedule at the international airport. Ziaul Hasan Lanjhar, the interior minister for the province of Sindh, stated that the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED), although it was previously reported that the explosion was due to an oil tanker explosion.

The Karachi separatist group "Balochistan Liberation Army" claimed responsibility for the explosion. In a statement emailed to journalists, the "Balochistan Liberation Army" (BLA) mentioned that they carried out the attack using an improvised explosive device placed in a vehicle, aiming to attack Chinese nationals, particularly engineers.
Copenhagen police are concurrently investigating two explosions near the Israeli embassy.
