You will need:

  • chicken liver - 500 g;
  • onion - 2 pcs;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • vegetable oil - 30 g;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

For the dough:

  • flour - 350 g;
  • boiling water - 200 g;
  • yolks - 2 pcs;
  • oil - 2 tbsp;
  • salt - 0.5 tsp.

Cooking method

Wash the chicken liver, remove membranes and veins. Soak in salted water or milk for 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel and slice the onion into half-rings. Heat butter with vegetable oil in a pan, fry the onion until soft.

Add the liver, fry on both sides for a few minutes, then stew covered for 5 minutes and another 5 minutes without cover.

Season with salt and pepper, let cool. After that, grind to a homogeneous mass together with the sauce.

For the dough, sift the flour, add salt, oil, yolks, and gradually pouring in boiling water, knead an elastic dough.

Cover with a towel and let stand for 20-30 minutes. Mold dumplings with the liver filling.

Boil in salted water until they float and for another 3-4 minutes afterwards.

Serve hot with sour cream or fried onions.
