Ukrainians honor the memory of Bohdan Soltys

Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today, we remember Bohdan Soltys.

After a long struggle for life, on May 16, 2025, the serviceman, operator of the second division of unmanned aerial systems of the third mechanized battalion, Bohdan Soltys, passed away. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' with reference to the Radekhiv City Council.

Bohdan Soltys was born on May 7, 2001, in the village of Zabava, Radekhiv community, Sheptytskyi district. The defender was conscripted into military service on October 6, 2020, and from 2021 served on a contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Struggle and Loss

On February 15, 2025, while performing a combat mission near the village of Vodyane Druhe in the Donetsk region, the warrior suffered a serious injury.

As a result of the injuries, after numerous surgeries and a prolonged stay in a coma, Bohdan's heart stopped on May 16, 2025.

The defender of Ukraine was buried on May 18, 2025, in his native village of Zabava.

'Hlavkom' joins the moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who have perished in the struggle for the Motherland. We remember those who died at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in mourning during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who lost their lives in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack by hostile forces on Ukrainian towns and villages.

Bohdan Soltys is yet another loss of a Ukrainian serviceman who gave his life for the freedom of his country. His memory is honored, just like all others who died at the hands of enemies, and candles of remembrance are lit in their honor.
