In Kyiv, a state enterprise overpaid for equipment again.

The head of one of the departments of the State Enterprise 'Ukrainian State Center for Radio Frequencies' in Kyiv has been accused of official negligence due to the purchase of laptops with a large markup, reported the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The Ukrainian State Center for Radio Frequencies once again purchased equipment with a markup
An employee responsible for procurement incorrectly checked the cost of the equipment from September to December 2023, leading to the purchase of 360 laptops at an inflated price of 40 thousand hryvnias each, while their market value was 23 thousand hryvnias.
The total amount of the purchase was 14.2 million hryvnias, and the overpayment amounted to almost 5 million hryvnias.
'The official responsible for the procurement has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (improper performance of official duties due to a negligent attitude towards them, which caused severe consequences for the state interests protected by law). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years'
In June, similar violations were already identified at the center during the procurement of printers; moreover, in the Kyiv City State Administration, an official was found to have overpaid more than 4 million hryvnias for generators.
Several state institutions in Ukraine have identified violations during the procurement of equipment, which led to significant financial losses and a negative impact on state interests.
