A new mural by Banksy has appeared in London
A new work by the street artist Banksy has appeared in the capital of Britain, who confirmed his authorship on social media. Three murals have already appeared in three days.
The latest mural depicts three monkeys swinging on a metro bridge in the eastern part of London. It is located on the bridge over Brick Lane, not far from Shoreditch High Street.
The artist confirmed the authorship of the work on his Instagram account on August 7.
This is the third animal-themed work to appear in London this week. One mural features a black mountain goat balancing on a structure near the Caledonian Bridge. Another mural shows two elephants stretching their trunks towards each other on boarded windows in the Chelsea area.
The artist's posts about the three murals do not contain signatures or titles, prompting various speculations about his intentions on the network.
In addition to widespread attention from fans, these new works in London will likely require additional protection. One of Banksy's works, depicting a woman with a paint sprayer, was damaged in March - it was splashed with white paint. The building owner later installed plastic film and wooden boards to protect the image.
Previously, a Banksy graffiti appeared in the UK titled 'Cracked Morning', but the wall with the artwork has since been dismantled.
Banksy has also created seven murals in Ukraine. His graffiti can be seen in Kyiv, Borodyanka, and Irpin. A security system will provide protection for these works from vandals and weather damage.
Recently, the leader of the band Massive Attack, considered to be the mysterious Banksy, visited Kyiv.
