The IMF made a statement regarding the situation in Ukraine.

The IMF is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine
The International Monetary Fund is closely watching the situation in Ukraine, including the efforts of the U.S. administration to achieve peace, and is assessing the implications for all parties.
This was announced at a briefing by Julia Kozak, Director of the IMF Communications Department.
'We are closely monitoring events and will obviously assess the peace agreement and its implications for all parties,' stated Julia Kozak.
She noted that the IMF and Ukraine have reached an agreement on the seventh review of the EFF program, which will allow for the allocation of the next funding package of $400 million. If the Board of Directors positively approves the next tranche, total payments under the program will amount to $10.1 billion.
Julia Kozak also emphasized that the implementation of the IMF program by the Ukrainian side is at a high level. According to her, the Ukrainian side met the quantitative performance criteria by the end of December. In addition, the government and IMF representatives agreed on a number of strategies and reforms to support macroeconomic stability.
'The process of structural reforms in Ukraine continues to grow, and the Ukrainian government is taking the implementation of certain commitments in other areas seriously,' added Julia Kozak.
