Ukrainians living in the Czech Republic actively join the legion in Poland.

Ukrainians living in the Czech Republic have formed the largest group of recruits who signed up for the Ukrainian legion organized in Poland. This is reported by Radio Prague International.
During the month of operation of the recruitment center in Lublin, more than half a thousand people joined the legion. Citizens of Ukraine living in 30 countries around the world applied for participation.
The most applications came from Ukrainians in Poland and the Czech Republic, as well as applications from the UK, Ireland, Canada, and the USA.
The center plans to organize outreach work in other Ukrainian diplomatic missions in Poland, including in Wroclaw, Krakow, Gdansk, and Warsaw.
Currently, the possibility of establishing recruitment centers in other European countries is not being considered, but such a prospect is not excluded.
The former Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic noted that it is currently examining the Polish project from a practical and legal perspective in order to decide whether to engage them in the initiative.
It is worth recalling that the recruitment center at the Ukrainian Consulate General in Lublin received over 500 applications from Ukrainians from 30 countries for service in the Ukrainian legion.
As a result of a month of operation of the recruitment center at the Ukrainian Consulate General in Lublin, more than 500 applications were submitted by Ukrainian citizens living abroad. 90% of the applications were submitted by men, and 10% by women. Applications were submitted by various people, including students who are ready to take an academic leave for the period of service in the army, as well as older people who worked in different fields. Moreover, half of the applications were submitted by people under the age of 25.
Poland is ready to start training the first few hundred Ukrainian volunteers who decided to join the Ukrainian legion.
