For missing three out-of-competition doping tests, Kokoschko was suspended from competitions. This violation is equivalent to a positive test for prohibited substances according to the organization's rules.
Currently, Kokoschko is under provisional suspension but can appeal the authority's decision. If found guilty, he faces a disqualification period of 1 to 2 years.
Roman Kokoschko is the Ukrainian record holder in indoor shot put with a result of 21.84 meters, set at the European Championship in 2023. At the 2024 Olympics, Kokoschko did not qualify and finished in 22nd place.
