The government is reforming the State Agricultural Registry for the digitalization of the agricultural sector
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution regarding the operation of the information and communication system 'State Agricultural Registry'. This is an important step in the digitalization of the country's agricultural sector, said the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval.
'The new innovations will contribute to the development of digitalization in the agricultural policy sector, increase the efficiency of state management, and support agricultural producers and water users organizations. In addition, they will provide quick access to analytical information for decision-making.'
One of the key initiatives is the approval of the procedure for maintaining the State Register of Agricultural Producers for identifying all market participants.
The resolution provides for:
- improvement of mechanisms for providing state support to producers;
- integration with other state registries for the unification and updating of information;
- compliance with legislative requirements regarding the protection of personal data and cybersecurity.
In the context of European integration, this resolution will also assist in the implementation of the Ukraine Facility plan to provide state support to agriculture through the SAR.
