According to updated data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of May 21, 2025, Russian occupiers have suffered significant losses.
Losses of the Russian side
In the course of the war with Ukraine, Russia has sustained the following losses:
- personnel – approximately 976780 (+980) people;
- tanks – 10835 (+1) units;
- armored combat vehicles – 22569 (+2) units;
- artillery systems – 28090 (+23) units;
- MLRS – 1388 (+0) units;
- air defense systems – 1167 (+0) units;
- aircraft – 372 (+0) units;
- helicopters – 336 units;
- tactical drones – 36692 (+71) units;
- cruise missiles – 3197 (+0) units;
- ships / boats – 28 (+0) units;
- submarines – 1 (+0) unit;
- automotive equipment and fuel trucks – 49169 (+76) units;
- special equipment – 3895 (+1) unit.
Activity of the occupiers' fleet
- In the Black Sea, enemy ships are absent;
- In the Sea of Azov, enemy ships are absent;
- In the Mediterranean Sea, three enemy ships are present, one of which can fire up to eight missiles.
Over the course of the day, the following passed through the Kerch Strait in the interests of Russia:
- to the Black Sea - nine vessels, three of which continued towards the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - seven vessels, four of which moved from the Bosporus Strait.
Currently, the 1183rd day of the full-scale war in Ukraine is ongoing.
Taking into account new data on the losses of Russian occupiers and the activity of their fleet, we can conclude about the continuation of the conflict and the active actions of both sides within the framework of the war.
