Ukrainians have been warned about a significant increase in food prices in 2025 and urged to stock up in advance.
As we approach 2025, the economic situation in Ukraine is becoming increasingly tense, which inevitably affects the food market. Ukrainians are already unimpressed with the prices of food that are rising literally every day, and expert forecasts raise even more concerns.
Doctor of Social Economics Zenoviy Svereda expressed the opinion that, for example, buckwheat may increase in price by 20-25%. Therefore, one can already start stockpiling it, and not in small amounts.
According to the expert, the reasons for the price increase are high inflation, hostilities, and a shortage of men.
'What bankers show, namely inflation at the level of 9.7%, indicates that, for example, buckwheat will increase in price by 20-25%, like any type of food. You can now purchase not just by the kilogram, but by 10 kg. In any case, all products naturally become more expensive in winter and early spring, but due to our high inflation, hostilities, and shortage of men, all this will add an extra 10-15% to the price,' he predicted.
We remind you that Ukrainians have been shown how the prices of potatoes and tomatoes have changed in December.
