A new Skede maritime testing ground has been opened in Latvia
According to the Ministry of Defense, tests of drone systems are planned to be conducted at the new testing ground. This will allow the National Armed Forces and their allies to experiment with advanced technologies in real conditions.
Director Andris Spruds noted that this step is important for strengthening the country's defense capabilities in modern conditions. He added that the creation of a new testing place for drones at sea contributes to the development of innovations in the defense sector.
The first trials at the maritime testing ground are scheduled for the second half of June, and after that they will be conducted regularly.
