In the Kyiv metro, fares for some passengers may cost twice as much: what's the reason.

Ukrainians learned about the new metro fare rates
According to the portal 'Hvylya', new fare rates for the metro have been published on the Kyiv Metro website.
Many Ukrainians use the metro in their daily lives. For many residents of Kyiv, the metro is an integral part of their routes to work, study, or other matters. Usually, the cost of one trip is 8 hryvnias, but sometimes the price can be higher.
When passing through the turnstile or entering a carriage, few think about the existing restrictions for passengers. However, specific transportation rules apply in the metro, adherence to which will help avoid problems.
In 2025, passengers will be able to transport certain types of items, such as small bags, backpacks, sports equipment, and more, without additional payment. However, for transporting oversized luggage, they will have to pay the cost of one trip. If the dimensions of the item exceed the established norms, passengers may be denied entry or charged an additional fee.
The metro regulations clearly state that it is prohibited to carry items that may pose a danger to others in the subway. Passengers are prohibited from bringing large items, household chemicals, and animals without special containers.
However, this August, a well-known bank introduced a new convenient service that may be useful for many clients.
